We love classic roasted vegetables, but these Roasted Hot Honey Brussels Sprouts are just next level. With just 5 ingredients, these brussels sprouts bring a balance of sweet and spicy to elevate any meal with a homemade hot honey.
Preheat your oven to 425°F. Place your sprouts cut-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Season with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Transfer to the oven on the bottom rack for 20 to 25 minutes, depending on the size of your sprouts.
While your brussels sprouts are roasting, make your hot honey. In a small saucepan on low heat, add in your honey and chili flakes. Warm gently until just infused, and not boiling. Strain the chili flakes from the honey, if preferred.
Once the sprouts are done roasting, add the hot honey to the sheet pan, tossing to combine.
Serve, and finish with lemon zest and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Notes
To make this vegan, sub the honey for maple syrup.
