Ingredients
- 1 pound brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons chili flakes
- Zest and juice of 1 small lemon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Place your sprouts cut-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Season with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer to the oven on the bottom rack for 20 to 25 minutes, depending on the size of your sprouts.
- While your brussels sprouts are roasting, make your hot honey. In a small saucepan on low heat, add in your honey and chili flakes. Warm gently until just infused, and not boiling. Strain the chili flakes from the honey, if preferred.
- Once the sprouts are done roasting, add the hot honey to the sheet pan, tossing to combine.
- Serve, and finish with lemon zest and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
