toasted crostini in extra-virgin olive oiloptional
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper to catch any spillage from the cheese.
Score your brie by making parallel cuts 1/2 inch apart across the top of the rind, turn to 90 degrees and do the same.
Place the brie in a baking dish (we are using a 6-inch skillet), and the baking dish on the parchment paper. Add your crostini to the same baking sheet, if toasting.
Spoon the cranberry sauce over the top of the brie. Transfer to the oven, in the top rack, and bake about 15 minutes. Any longer than 20 minutes, it will get hard and not as gooey.
Let the brie cool for a coupel minutes, the served alongside the crositini immediatly.
Notes
Add any of your favorite toppings and nuts, such as pistachios or walnuts, honey, or fresh herbs.
Prep: You can prepare the brie with the cranberry sauce on top, and then just bake it when ready to serve.
Storing: Store any leftover brie in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven to make the brie gooey again!
Serving: The cheese firms up quickly, so serve immediately when it’s out of the oven. Serve with any of your favorite fruits, crackers, or bread!
