9 ingredient cilantro apple chutney! It’s a game changer – it has lots of cilantro, apple, jalapeรฑo lime juice and garlic. I love the sweetness from the apple and spicy from the jalapeรฑo, it just comes together so well. Then naan dipped in, so much yes.

Cilantro Apple Chutney

9 ingredient cilantro apple chutney! Itโ€™s a game changer โ€“ it has lots of cilantro, apple,ย jalapeรฑoย lime juice and garlic.

Ingredients 

  • 2 bundles cilantro
  • 1 Autumn Glory apple
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • juice of 1 lime, 1 large or 2 small
  • 2 Serrano or jalapenฬƒo Chileโ€™s
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • naan to serve

Instructions 

  • In a blender, pulse your apples, Serrano chili and garlic cloves until its chopped finely, into a paste-like forms. Next add in your cilantro, cumin, lime juice, salt and pepper. Blend until a creamy sauce and chutney texture forms. Not too watery, not too thick. Adjust with water if needed. Serve with hot naan!

    Thank you for this nice recipe. It was difficult for me to blend the first 3 ingredients Into a paste on their own, so added in the lime juice. (Could a food processor work better?) No Autumn Glory apples at my local supermarket, so substituted a Granny Smith. Pls. consider suggesting other apple options in your ingredients. I added a little agave nectar to make the chutney a little sweeter and increased the cumin to 1/2 tsp. ๐Ÿ™‚
