Homemade chili oil is my jam. Make ahead and store in the fridge to literally drizzle on anything & everything. Here I dipped it with vegetable potstickers and major snacking was ready real quick!
Potstickers with Homemade Chili Oil
Ingredients
- 1 package store-bought potstickers
- 1 cup canola oil
- 1 star anise
- 5 tablespoons thai chili flakes
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoon salt
- green onions and sesame seeds to top
Instructions
- Cook your potstickers according to the package instruction.
- Next, in a pot, heat your canola oil.
- In a bowl, add your star anise, chili flakes, fresh ginger, garlic and salt. Mix well.
- Once your oil is hot, slowly add the hot oil over the chili mixture and stir. Pour the hot oil in batches and mix up. Store the chili oil in an air tight container in the fridge and let cool.
- When itโs cooled, stir or dip over your potstickers with green onions and sesame seeds.
