Ingredients You Need For Your Strawberry Jam
- strawberries
- sugar
- lemon
For Your Whipped Ricotta
- ricotta
- lemon
- salt and pepper
+ your favorite bread!
Steps To Make This Recipe
Step 1
Begin by roughly cutting your strawberries in half with the stem removed, and blend your strawberries with water. If you want your jam chunkier, feel free to omit this step, and just place cut strawberries in a pot. Place in a pot with sugar, lemon juice and lemon zest. Bring to a boil.
Step 2
After boiling, let this reduce down on medium-low. Stir often so your jam doesn’t burn, stir until your jam forms and thickens. (around 20 minutes) It should become a thick consistency but not clumpy. Pour into a jar, and let cool before storing in the fridge.
Step 3
In the meantime, with a hand blender or stand mixer, whip your ricotta, lemon zest, lemon juice and salt and pepper.
Step 4
Toast your bread, smear on your whipped ricotta, top with jam, garnish with lemon zest and pepper.
