How to make these crispy air fryer sweet potato fries
Prepare your potatoes
Begin by cutting your potatoes in wedges or desired stick sizes. If you prefer to have the skins peeled, you can do so here as well. Place in a bowl of cold water for about an hour (this helps with making it super crispy and tender, but it is optional!)
Make your honey mustard
In the meantime, make your honey mustard: mix honey, mustard, mayo, dijon, vinegar and salt and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
Air fry your sweet potatoes
Remove your sweet potatoes from the water and dry well with paper towels. Toss with all your spices and olive oil. Place your fries in it’s air fryer basket with the air fryer or steam crisp setting at 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway. Timing may vary depending on your air fryer so check on it to make sure it’s to your liking!
Serve!
Cook in batches if needed and make sure they’re evenly layered in the air fryer. Sprinkle with flakey salt and serve with your honey mustard.
To make this in the oven: Place on a baking sheet with parchment paper in a single layer and roast until crunchy, soft and golden.
To deep fry: For deep frying, heat up your choice of neutral oil like canola oil, vegetable oil or avocado oil until HOT, then fry your sweet potatoes fries until golden.
