Caviar and potato chips is hands down one of the easiest, quickest and most impressive appetizers out there. The perfect party appetizer and snack (or sometimes for me, dinner!) It doesn’t get easier than placing caviar, creme fraiche and potato chips on a platter, and serving this DIY style for all your guests to enjoy at their leisure.

Caviar and Potato Chips

What ingredients do you need for caviar and potato chips?

Caviar: We are using kaluga hybrid reserve caviar, but you can also use salmon roe (fish eggs!), too. Or any Royal Ossetra Caviar.

Potato Chips: We are using a bag of potato chips for this, but you can make your own potato chips or crispy potatoes if you want, as well. Optional to use blini’s instead of potato chips here, too!

Creme fraiche or sour cream: Either creme fraiche or sour cream will work here. I sometimes like to toss in some salt, pepper and chopped chives with a squeeze of lemon, but you can just serve this straight from the container without mixing anything else in.

Shallots: Minced shallots (finely minced!) add some some crunch and flavor to every potato bite! But totally optional.

Chives: Freshly chopped chives are served alongside the caviar and added on per potato chip!
