Recipe Ingredients

Below are the ingredients you need to make this recipe, including all our tips and substitutions.

All the ingredients you need laid out for blue cheese stuffed green olives.
  • Large green pitted olives: For this recipe, we are using Castelvetrano olives, which are more subtle in texture but creamy. They are also bigger than other green olives, making them a great vessel for stuffing the blue cheese mixture.
  • Cheese filling: The filling is a mix of blue cheese, goat cheese, olive brine, and freshly cracked black pepper.
  • For the olive oil marinade: We are preparing an infused olive oil made with chili flakes and lemon (peel and juice), with extra-virgin olive oil to pour over the stuffed olives.

The full list of ingredients with exact quantities can be found on the recipe card below.

Tips and Substitutions

  • You can use cream cheese in place of goat cheese, if preferred.
  • Prep: You can prepare this ahead and serve it later. Either stuff the olives and add over the olive oil and store, or you can make the cheese filling and stuff at the time of serving.
  • Storing: Store stuffed olives in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
