Dumpling Lasagna FAQs
You can pour water or broth directly into a pot, and assemble the layers in the pot instead of a baking sheet. You can also use a pot big enough and just adjust with less water to steam and add it directly to the water. Just ensure there is a lid on either application to steam!
You can use ground chicken or turkey, or substitute a vegetable-forward mix of mushrooms, tofu, carrots, and cabbage.
It’s up to your preference! You can use one larger baking dish or individual ramekins. You can also steam just on the stovetop. All need lids!

A delicious dumpling alt! I’ve been seeing this non-stop on my feed so I had to recreate it!
How do u steam on stove when its in a lasagna pan??
I made a similar recipe last week and had the same question. I ended up using a large turkey fryer/seafood boil pot with a couple of bricks in the bottom. Assembled in a 1 1/2qt dish, set it on the bricks, filled water up over the bricks (about 1/4 of the way up the side of the dish) and covered to steam.
That’s a great idea!
I just found a pot big enough to fit it in! I just put it in directly, no steamer basket and added a shallow pour of water. If you do have a steamer basket, and don’t have a big enough pot, you can use smaller ramekins and do individuals!
